Bame began his investment career in 1998 and has continued to build his knowledge and track record since then. Bame has completed investments in the United States, Europe, China, and Africa. Bame's investments encompass a range of sectors including financial services, consumer, industrial, education, food, logistics, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, fintech, real estate, and technology.

Bame has sat on the boards of numerous portfolio companies and specialises in partnering with management teams in implementing specific, high-impact value creation plans.

Prior to founding Africa Lighthouse Capital in 2012, Bame spent six years working at Actis Capital, the largest emerging markets-focused alternative investment firm. While at Actis, Bame was based in Johannesburg, but worked extensively throughout Africa, particularly in Nigeria and Egypt. He has also worked in Kenya and Ghana. Bame previously worked at Shoreview Capital, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and Citigroup – all in the United States. He has bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from Pomona College in California and an MBA from Harvard Business School in Massachusetts.

Kudzani holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science from University of Zimbabwe.

Kudzani led Fund of Funds private equity and private debt at Bifm and has 16 years of investment experience. His previous experience includes senior roles at African Alliance, Barclays Bank of Botswana, Bifm and Botswana Insurance Holdings Limited.

The Botswana sectors that he has most experience in include financial services, FMCG, and tourism. Kudzani has exceptional relationships and access in the business community of Botswana and the region. He has dealt with every major family business in Botswana and has an ability to generate proprietary deal flow.

Ngodya holds a Master of Management in Finance and Investments (MMFI) from WITS Business School, a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics and Finance from the University of Botswana and has passed CFA level I.

His most recent work experience was as Senior Investment Analyst at Norsad Finance where he supported the deployment of over US$60m of capital across various sectors which include financial services, renewable energy, hospitality, retail, and property.

The countries of investment include South Africa, Mauritius, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Angola. His prior work experience includes Stockbrokers Botswana and Imara Capital Securities where he served as an Equity Research Analyst covering listed companies o‌n the Botswana Stock Exchange.

Mbaki holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Town and has passed CAIA Level I. Mbaki began his career as a management consultant where he participated in strategic discussions at the executive level.

His most recent work experience prior to joining Africa Lighthouse Capital was at Bifm where he supported the deployment of US$14m of capital in property, financial services, hospitality, and consumer services. Mbaki has additional work experience at Aon Botswana and TELMC Consultancy.

Thato holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch Business School and Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Actuarial Science from Butler University in the United States.

She has also completed a Senior Management Development Programme with the University of Stellenbosch Business School. Most recently she was the Head of Stakeholder Relations at Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited (BTCL) responsible for management of all strategic relationships, corporate communications, corporate social investment, and mergers and acquisitions.

Her prior work experience includes African Alliance, Imara Africa Securities, Imara Capital Securities and Imara Corporate Finance where she advised on various corporate transactions.

Laone holds a Bachelor of Finance degree from the University of Botswana. She started her career as a Recruitment Administrator at HRMC where she directly supported placement of C- suite executives in the Finance sector.

Prior to joining Africa Lighthouse Capital, Laone was Public Education & Stakeholder Management Officer at Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority.
